REGISTRATION INFORMATION

This page is dedicated to general information about the Family Membership, Registration Options, Co-Op Class Options, and more! Dates and fees may be published here but not guaranteed!

Session Information

There are 2 sessions each year, fall and spring. Start dates vary each year. 

Tentative starts:

Fall session starts in September.

Spring session starts in February. 

Each session runs for 10 weeks with a mid-session break. 

Co-Op classes are held every Tuesday from 11am to 2pm. 

Family Membership

Lemon Bay Homeschool Explorers has a Family Membership Fee of $20 per family. This fee will be collected during the Family Membership Enrollment period which will start in the Summer of 2024 for the next Co-Op year of 2024-2025. This membership ensures that families who plan to join, or are interested in joining, the fall or spring session are on the Priority Registration list. Additionally, they will be added to the Facebook Group and able to join any additional events and field trips offered by the group. 

Family Teacher Opportunity

We will be looking for a Year commitment from Teachers this coming Co-Op session of 2024-2025. This means we are looking for families to teach both Fall 2024 and Spring 2025. 

As incentives teacher families will pay NO Registration fees (a savings of approximately $160+) for joining Co-Op, they will still need to pay the Family Membership Fee. Teachers will also be able to submit reimbursement requests for supplies purchased and be able to have access to coop supplies for classes. 

If you are interested in being a Teacher for the Co-Op year of 2024 to 2025, Teacher Applications will start in June 2024.

 

Priority Registration and Open Registration

Priority Registration will go to all those that have paid the Family Membership Fee of $20. 

This allows families the opportunity to sign up for that Session before Open Registration starts. There is typically a 2-week period for Priority Registration, after which Open Registration will happen and then it is first come basis, regardless of Family Membership status.  

Open Registration is for families who missed the Family Membership Enrollment period. New families will still need to pay the $20 Family Membership Fee as well as the current Registration Fees. 

Registration fees are TBA and will be based on current cost to rent the facilities.

We can accommodate 30 to 32 families for each Co-Op Session.  

Age Groups, Classes, and Parent Volunteer Requirement

Our Co-Op serves primarily ages 4 to 15. With the bulk of our kids being in the elementary school category. Please be mindful of this when registering for Co-Op. 

 

We are hoping to accommodate more ages this coming Co-Op year 2024 to 2025, but it solely relies on the Teachers and what they are willing and able to put together as classes. 

We are not a drop off Co-Op. One parent is required to stay on premises during each day. Additionally, one parent is required to volunteer such as a parent class helper, substitute teacher, and clean-up crew.
